As an IC design engineer at Axoft, you will be working side to side with electrical engineering team as well as the microfabrication team and animal experiment team to develop system-level solutions to implement ultra-high channel count electrophysiological data acquisition and analysis systems. You will be responsible for designing Axoft ASICs (signal acquisition and analysis), developing customized software and assisting other team members for successful system build up and animal experiment.

Key qualifications:

  • Desire to work reliably with novel and complex processes where innovation and precision are equally important.

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or other related fields.

  • Mix-signal IC design experience, e.g Low Noise Amplifier, Analog to Digital Converter and Digital to Analog Converted.

  • Experience designing IC in 180nm or smaller process.

  • Tape out experience including successful testing and characterization.

  • High attention to detail and a phenomenal work ethic.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or other related fields. 3+ years of work experience in related industry.

  • Experience building bioelectronic devices, understanding of signal properties and analysis methods in electrophysiology.

  • Experience with low-power mix-signal circuit and power management circuit design.

  • Experience with wireless data and power transmission circuits.

Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and report to the CTO about the general progress and strategy for hardware and software development.

  • Production of engineering documentation, processes, and workflows.

  • Maintain good organizational relationships with other departments and engineering disciplines.

  • Help the operations team to build and orchestrate Axoft’s manufacturing pipelines.
