Position details

  • You’ll join the management team and gradually transition from individual milestones, to multiple pipelines, to end-to-end project delivery.

  • You’ll work on both small scale and large scale projects, organically specialising in project types as you grow.

  • You’ll focus on analysis, project breakdown, planning, estimations, documenting, coordination, monitoring and quality assurance activities. Gradually you will transition to backlog and budget management as well.

  • You’ll work under the guidance of a delivery coordinator and/or project manager.

  • You’ll work closely with team roles from development to design.

  • You'll manage deadlines and team capacities. You’ll gradually be required to independently manage your time, tasks and yourself as a professional and equal member of the team.

  • You’ll cultivate ownership and initiative, as you’ll be participating in decision making from the get-go and your feedback will be a necessary part of the team’s discussions.

  • You’ll cultivate a strong sense of business perspective helping turn projects into successful end results.

Minimum requirements

At Pixelocracy we don’t care if you are 18 or 65, have academic diplomas or not. But it has to make a really good sense and you need to have the general human skills necessary for this line of work. You might have a natural talent that you developed as a kid in your family business or learnt a great deal as a cake baker; you could be a passionate digital geek with background on business analysis, coding, proposal management or UX; you could be a freelancer or business owner seeking to move onto the next chapter.

Having said that, here are the minimum requirements we believe that matter:

  • Analytical skills
    Good ability to research, process, understand, breakdown, correlate or write information fast.

  • Management skills
    Great organisational abilities as a person. Good abilities transforming simple projects to detailed tasks, plan their execution, coordinate with team members, ensure deadlines or alert for challenges early.

  • Communication skills
    Great verbal OR written communication abilities.

  • Perception skills
    Good empathy with other people. Basic ability understanding business objectives.

  • Digital tools
    Be a digital native. Have at least personal or professional experience with task management software (ex. Jira, Trello, Asana) and cloud collaboration software (ex. Google Drive/Docs).

  • Relevant scope
    Have a very strong relationship with digital technologies, on a personal, academic or professional level. You either have a clear educational or professional background with somehow relatable scope OR at least some hands-on experience on project management (ex. specialised trainings, freelancing, family business, previous work, extracurricular commitments, entrepreneurship).

  • You are very familiar with those words: scope, mission, objective, deadline, timeline, plan, budget, critical path, task, phase, coordination, backlog, pipeline.

Nice to haves

The following (if any applicable) will help map a proper starting point - regardless if you pose strong knowledge or a passing interest.

  • Development and coding terms

  • Content management systems (ex. WordPress, Drupal, Django)

  • Coding management software (ex. Github, Bitbucket)

  • Product development terms (ex. versioning, roadmap, user stories)

  • Project methodologies (ex. agile, scrum, kanban)

  • SEO & data analytics

  • User experience and user interface research and design

  • Quality assurance processes
